Aging – it is something all of us do.

For many senior citizens, getting older comes with many benefits – more free time, the pleasures of grandchildren, traveling the world.  However, for all of us, aging will also bring with it challenges – medical difficulties, slowing down and some loss (friends, spouse, physical /mental ability). For those that are beginning to have these difficulties, and for their caregivers or family, identifying these challenges and making the best of them, can be very difficult.

Being informed of, and having access to, resources that can assist in addressing these challenges is a great need for our seniors and their families.  It can make the difference between having support and a great quality of life, and struggling with the burden, loneliness and helplessness of not knowing where to turn.

As families begin to identify these challenges, and certainly in the case of drastic, immediate change (illness, fall, etc.), home care may provide just the support that can make a big difference.  Right at Home, serving Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer counties, has been committed to improving the quality of life for those we serve. In-home care (even in a facility if extra help is needed) can provide support in many ways – help around the house, running errands, providing companionship or if needed, personal care.  For the last 11 years, we have brought a compassionate approach and support to hundreds of clients and their families.

As a Certified Senior Advisor and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Principal Janet Kuebler has been a unique and trusted resource throughout the region.  She has worked with groups such as the Hunterdon Medical Center Senior Coalition, Friends and Relatives of the Elderly and the United Way Caregiver Resource Coalition to bring insight, information and resources to help our communities.   For families beginning to face the adversities of an aging spouse, parent or grandparent, she has also been great council. And while homecare is a great option for many, understanding all options and resources is an important first step – one that can be easily explored with Janet and the Right at Home team.
